Kerry YoungKerry Young graduated with a B.A. in Film and Communications from Mcgill University. After graduation, Kerry joined the BMO Nesbitt Burns group of companies as a retail-branch bank teller. She calls the next fifteen years an “accidental success”, in which she rose to Vice President, Currency Trading.

Kerry left the bank in 2004 to make her dream of working in film a reality. She teamed up with Pierre Bonhomme to produce A Body of Work for the Inside Out Film Festival, and then gained production experience on several short Bravo!FACT and Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) Calling Card films.

Following an internship at Conquering Lion Pictures working with producer Damon D’Oliveira, Kerry co-produced Sharon Lewis’ short film Ritch, which won runner-up for Best Short Film at the Hollywood Black Film Festival in June 2006. In the spring of 2006 she also co-produced the short films Miranda and Gordon, with Mark Lutz and Polly Shannon, and Do Not Bend for Bravo!FACT.

As a graduate from the producer’s lab at the CFC Kerry produced the award winning short film Cursing Hanley and then went on to produce 2 more shorts films, Green with director Kelly Harms and Chili & Cheese: A Condimental Rift with director Joe Pingue.

Kerry spent the last year working for the producers of the television show Departures and is currently developing the feature film The Graduates.

Not only does Kerry Young produce Ruby Skye P.I., she runs the floor during shooting as our 1st AD.  Beloved by all, Kerry is the calmest, most efficient producer ever.
